YouTube adds AI tools

YouTube is introducing several AI-powered tools for content creators, aiming to increase the use of generative AI in content creation. These tools were announced during the Made on YouTube event and will be rolled out in the coming months. Some of the features include AI-generated photo and video backgrounds for YouTube Shorts, AI-based video topic suggestions, and a music search tool. The Dream Screen feature, in particular, allows creators to generate AI-generated videos and photos based on prompts, opening up creative possibilities.

Furthermore, YouTube Studio will offer AI-generated topic ideas and video outlines personalized to individual creators, based on current audience trends. An AI-powered music recommendation system will also assist creators in finding suitable audio for their videos. Additionally, YouTube plans to introduce an AI dubbing feature, allowing creators to dub their content into other languages. These AI-driven tools are expected to influence how creators plan and structure their content, potentially leading to more AI-generated content on the platform, a trend that has been growing in recent times.

GitHub Copilot Chat

GitHub Copilot Chat, when combined with GitHub Copilot pair programming, becomes a powerful AI assistant that helps developers code faster in their preferred natural language. This aims to make coding more efficient by reducing repetitive tasks and establishing natural language as a universal programming tool.

Accessing the GitHub Copilot Chat beta is free for individual users, and it works in both Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code. Users will receive email notifications with instructions on how to get started. This tool empowers developers to learn new languages, troubleshoot coding issues, and seek answers in plain language, all within their coding environment, minimizing distractions and boosting productivity. GitHub Copilot Chat also allows individual contributors to suggest security improvements, enhancing open-source project security.
