This OpenAI Job Pays $900K

To attract top talent, OpenAI is offering very attractive compensation packages. When the base salary and stock options are combined, the total compensation for multiple open positions at OpenAI amounts to approximately $900,000. 🤩

OpenAI has posted dozens of positions on their company website. These positions span a wide range of roles and responsibilities, with many being software engineer roles with high base salaries. If you add in bonuses the total compensation is even higher.

AI Language Models And EU AI Act Compliance

None of the top 10 AI language models currently meet the requirements outlined in Europe's upcoming AI Act guidelines. Fines for non-compliance can reach up to €20,000,000 or 4% of the company's revenue per infringement. See "scorecard" below for details and full article here.

Elon vs. Zuck, In UFC Style Cage Match?

Some background: Meta is working on a Twitter clone and some back and forth about the companies competing seems to have led to both CEOs agreeing to a UFC style cage match. Both companies are very active in A.I. space making this news right down our alley.

Musk threw down the cage fight gauntlet by tweeting about his willingness to step into the ring. Zuckerberg fired back with an Instagram post (channeling his inner Khabib Nurmagomedov) saying, "send me location." Confirming that this isn't just a joke.

A Musk vs. Zuckerberg showdown would be the most entertaining fight in tech history.

Dropbox Dash: AI Powered Search

Did Dropbox just kill startups that are creating ChatGPT like chatbot for documents?

Dropbox has introduced a new AI-powered search tool called Dropbox Dash to address the problem of scattered work across various apps and platforms. Dash enables users to search for their content, tools, and apps from a single search bar, integrating with major platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook, and Salesforce. The tool aims to reduce time spent on searching and organizing content, allowing users to focus on their core work.
