New AI agent from China is going viral

A new Chinese AI agent, Manus, has rapidly gained global attention as a breakthrough in autonomous AI, drawing comparisons to DeepSeek and being hailed as "the AI agent we were promised." Unlike existing assistants, Manus independently analyzes, plans, and executes complex tasks, reportedly completing weeks of professional work in hours through its multi-agent architecture.

Early testers and industry leaders, including those from Hugging Face and top VCs, praise its agentic capabilities, with some calling it the most impressive AI tool they’ve used. Despite its limited access due to server constraints, Manus has outperformed major models on AI benchmarks and demonstrated real-world applications in resume screening, stock analysis, and real estate research.
