Leaked ChatGPT Features

There are different types of chat apps available. Some are simple question-and-answer bots, while others, like ChatGPT, are more conversational and can remember previous interactions. While having some memory is beneficial, the future of chatbots lies in personalized and customized experiences. Recently, a Reddit user discovered a leaked user interface that suggests the potential for creating more customized chatbots based on user profiles and even user-uploaded files. This means that chatbots could be tailored to each user's preferences and needs, making the interactions more unique and relevant.

OpenAI Sued for Defamation

OpenAI is facing its first defamation lawsuit in response to false information generated by ChatGPT. Mark Walters, a radio host in Georgia, is suing the company after ChatGPT falsely stated that he had been involved in defrauding and embezzling funds from a non-profit organization.

OpenAI includes a disclaimer on ChatGPT's homepage acknowledging the possibility of incorrect information generation. However, the company also presents ChatGPT as a source of reliable data, advertising it as a way to "get answers" and "learn something new."

The legal responsibility of companies for false or defamatory information generated by AI systems remains uncertain, especially regarding the protections provided by Section 230 of the US law, which traditionally shields internet firms from such liability.

Sam Altman World Tour

Sam Altman is currently on a world tour, and he recently visited several countries including Israel, Jordan, Qatar, the UAE, India, and South Korea. His purpose for these trips is to discuss the risks associated with AI and prevent excessive regulation of this technology. It's a proactive move by Sam Altman to address any potential regulations that could have long-term effects on OpenAI. However, many have concerns about OpenAI supporting regulations that might impact AI startups, especially after they have already launched their own products. To some, it seems like they might be using regulations to limit competition.

During his tour, Sam Altman had a conversation with Rajan Anandan, the former Vice President of Google in India and a current venture capitalist. Rajan Anandan asked Sam Altman if an Indian startup could develop an AI tool like ChatGPT, a foundational AI model, with a $10 million investment. Sam Altman responded by saying that it would be extremely difficult, but he encouraged them to give it a try.
