OpenAI ChatGPT Plugins
Have you ever wished that you could connect ChatGPT to the internet or integrate it with other applications? Well, the good news is that OpenAI has already thought of that and has released ChatGPT plugins. Plugins are installed like Chrome extensions. Access to the plugins is via a waitlist here.
There are two types of plugins available - OpenAI developed and third-party plugins. There are currently eleven third-party plugins and I’m sure many more will be coming soon as developers get access via the waitlist.

Let me tell you about the three plugins that have been developed by OpenAI and more info on all the plugins here.
Browsing - This plugin can access the Internet and tap into current events, news, information and websites like the user had access to a browser.

Code interpreter - A ChatGPT model that can use Python, handle uploads and downloads also hosted by OpenAI.

Retrieval - The open-source retrieval plugin enables ChatGPT to access personal or organizational information sources (with permission). It allows users to obtain the most relevant document snippets from their data sources, such as files, notes, emails or public documentation, by asking questions or expressing needs in natural language. In example below ChatGPT has access to United Nations documents.

Google’s Chatbot “Bard” Announcement
Many people are now using chatbots, such as ChatGPT and Bing Chat, to find answers to their questions instead of relying on search engines. Despite Google dominating the search engine market with over 92% of traffic, they have been slower to release their own chatbot, Bard. The reason for this delay is that Google wants to avoid competing with their existing search engine and, more importantly, their advertising business.

Google has launched a waiting list for their chatbot, Bard. People haven't been too impressed with it at first, as many feel that ChatGPT is a better choice. If you're interested, you can find some information about Bard from Google below, as well as a link to sign up for the waiting list here.
Bard is powered by a research large language model (LLM), specifically a lightweight and optimized version of LaMDA, and will be updated with newer, more capable models over time. It’s grounded in Google's understanding of quality information. You can think of an LLM as a prediction engine. When given a prompt, it generates a response by selecting, one word at a time, from words that are likely to come next. Picking the most probable choice every time wouldn’t lead to very creative responses, so there’s some flexibility factored in. We continue to see that the more people use them, the better LLMs get at predicting what responses might be helpful.
Adobe Firefly - Text to Image Generation
For a long time, Adobe products have been closely associated with graphic design and art. Recently, they launched an AI art generator called Firefly. If you're interested, you can request access to Firefly here.

DALL-E Powered Image Generation in Bing Chat
Microsoft is consistently improving its products by leveraging technology from its partnership with OpenAI. Recently, Bing Chat has been updated to include text-to-image generation using DALL-E. It's likely that OpenAI will use feedback from this update to refine the final version of DALL-E, which has not been updated for some time. Click here for more info.

The world of AI and machine learning is moving incredibly fast, and it's tough to keep up with all the cool new developments! Here are some of the most exciting AI-powered tools and news.
100% A.I. Generated Image of the Day
There have been numerous AI-generated images of Pope Francis circulating on the internet this week. One example, along with the prompt used to create it, is shown below. This is a reminder that in today's world, you can't always trust what you see or read anymore.

A Meme of the Day
I recently bought an item on Amazon, and after the purchase, the website recommended that I buy a similar item based on my purchase history. In my opinion, Amazon could greatly improve its product recommendations by utilizing AI technology.
