AMD Announces Next-Gen Instinct MI400

AMD is getting really serious about artificial intelligence. They're working on a new set of super-fast AI machines called "MI400 Instinct." AMD's CEO, Lisa Su, mentioned these new machines during a recent talk but didn't give all the details, making it a bit of a mystery.

AMD's CEO said the hardware is great, but they need to improve the software for certain types of AI.

D&D Creators Don’t Want A.I. In Their Projects

The company that makes Dungeons & Dragons, Wizards of the Coast, found out that one of their artists, Ilya Shkipin, used AI help to generate pictures for a their latest book. They talked to the artist and decided that from now on, artists can't use AI to create assets.

Shkipin, had used an AI program to help make pictures for a new book called "Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants!"

“He will not use AI for Wizards’ work moving forward,” D&D said. “Artists must refrain from using AI art generation as part of their creation process for developing D&D art.”

Why Elon Musk Controls AI.com

Elon Musk recently got control of the website AI.com. This is a big deal because this URL used to go to ChatGPT. Now, AI.com takes you to a different company called X.ai. This new company, xAI, was started by Musk and is separate from his other company, X Corp.

Musk has a history with AI. He co-founded OpenAI in 2015, but he left the company in 2018 because he disagreed with the CEO at the time. He even claimed that he's the reason OpenAI exists and that he invested a lot of money in it. Recently, he made announcements about his new company, X, which will use AI technology in some way, but the details aren't clear yet.
