Teacher Requires Students Use ChatGPT

You've probably heard this a lot lately: AI won't replace your job, but a person who uses AI might! That's why it's so important to use AI the right way, and that includes using it in schools. I'm excited about what this professor at Wharton Business School is doing to encourage the proper use of AI. [Link]

First, as background, I required AI use in slightly different ways across three separate undergraduate and masters-level entrepreneurship and innovation classes. One class was built on extensive AI use: I required students use AI to help them generate ideas, produce written material, help create apps, generate images, and more. Another class had assignments that required students to use AI, and other assignments where AI was optional.

ChatGPT Can Help You Land 3x More Job Interviews

Did you know that only a tiny percentage of job applicants actually make it to the interview stage? This is because hiring managers are very selective about who they invite for an interview, due to the time and money it costs to interview multiple applicants. So, if your qualifications aren't immediately apparent to the hiring manager, you might be missing out on the chance to land an interview.

Below are 7 tips on how to use ChatGPT to get selected for the job interview. [Credit]

  1. Copy your target job description. Then paste it into ChatGPT and ask: "Highlight the 3 most important responsibilities in this job description: [Insert Job Description]"

  2. ChatGPT can help personalize your resume for a target role.

Just say:"Please personalize my resume for this [Job Title] role at [Company]. Here is the job description: [Paste Job Description].

And here is my resume: [Paste Resume].

  3. Take it one step further by optimizing your bullets. Copy a bullet from your resume. Paste it in ChatGPT and say:

"Please rewrite this bullet in under 20 words using compelling language and measurable metrics from my resume: [Paste Resume]

  4. ChatGPT can also help you write a highly personalized cover letter.

Just say:"Please write a personalized cover letter for this [Job Title] at [Company]. Here's the job description: [Paste Job Description].

And here is my resume: [Paste Resume].

  5. ChatGPT can help you understand what companies are looking for in their interviews. Just ask it: "What specific skills and experience should I highlight in an interview for [Job Title] in [Specific Industry]?

  6. ChatGPT can also help you anticipate interview questions you might be asked. Just ask: "What are the 10 most common questions companies ask when interviewing a(n) [Job Title]?"

  7. ChatGPT will also help you answer those same questions.

Copy one of them and ask: "Draft an answer to the interview question [Insert Question]. The answer should use compelling language and include measurable outcomes."

They're looking to pay a pretty sweet salary of between $170k - $335k for a prompt engineer and librarian. If you've been using ChatGPT or text-to-image tools like Midjourney, then you're probably a good fit for the job. Don't be shy, apply and grab that cash! [Job Posting]

AI Meme of the Day

LMGTFY is an acronym that stands for "Let Me Google That For You." It's a humorous and sometimes sarcastic way of letting someone know that they could have found the answer to their question by doing a quick Google search. People often use this phrase when someone asks a question that's easily searchable, instead of looking it up themselves.

Things are changing! Now, if you don't try using ChatGPT first to find your answer, you might just end up getting a similar response.

Peace out,
